Nice to meet you!

Hello, my name is Dorothea M�cke-Herzberg, 30 by now. I'm living in Cologne, one of Germany's big towns situated at the river Rhine with that famous cathedral which dominates the skyline. If you ever happen to be around Cologne don't miss the chance to see it. Should you be here the days before Ash Wedensday you will have the time of your life during our famous carnival. Ever wanted to see Germans go nuts - here you have it!

The rest of the year we behave quite properly and are working like everybody else. I do my share at the Institute for Geophysics and Meteorology of the University at Cologne - as a geophysicist and part time systemadministrator. Next year I hope to get my PhD.

During my rare leisure time I love to read a lot, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Thrillers... Music is my other favourite pastime. I'm member of Forum Vocale a Cologne chamber choir, give piano lessons to friends - even play myself :-)

I'm a passionate cyclist. Several bicyle tours led me through Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands. My husband and I even made a bicyle tour through England for honeymoon. It was a wonderful time!
Three years ago I discovered - well my husband made me - sailing as a great way to pass one's time. Since then we try to get on a jolly a few times a year.
